Dual Ponds with connecting Stream
Hi, Our backyard water garden continues to give us much
enjoyment as we sit on our back porch in the evenings after a
hard day at work and relax. The soothing sound of the water
falls makes the stress of the day go away.

There are two 6500 gallon pools connected by a stream. The
main waterfall is supplied with water from the lower pond via a
4 inch line powered by an 8500 gph Tsurami pump. There is a 55'
long stream that has a bog as its headwater. There are two pumps
providing the water to the stream. The bog gets its water from
the lower pond via a 1500 gph pump through a 1 1/2 inch line.
The stream flow is augmented by a Tsurami 5000 gph pump to give
it a "spring time flow".
I have a 2000 gph pump providing flow through my homemade
filtration system. It consists of 3 55-gallon plastic barrels
with filter material providing the "course filtration" for the
first one and plastic "scrubbies" in the other two to provide
the bio filtration. The outflow is routed to the side of the
main waterfall providing another water source for a "mini-falls"
effect.

One of the rocks on the bottom of the falls from the stream
that connects the ponds has a fish looking markings sort of like
a Grouper. Look carefully at the middle rock.
There are about 40 tons of rocks laid on, in, and around the
ponds & streams.
