1250 Gallon Pond with Waterfall
These are of a pond I built for a friends of ours The
Belchers in Tulsa, OK.
It is @1250 gals, with a depth of up to three feet. Have a
Ecopond, filter and skimmer system. With flower beds on all side
including in back of the filter, it is a 360* pleasure to view.
Planted with mostly perennial in the beds it will only look
better and better every year!

What started out as a simple two day pods set up hit
roadblocks it seemed every where you turned. This is actually
the second pond the first one dug about 10 feet away was in
lateral line seepage zone. Or so we found out the next day,
after it had been lined and partially rocked, the entire pond
filled up with waste water (yuck) UNDER the pond liner!

I live 250 miles away and had limited time so the rush was on
to dig another pond before time ran out. Three women dug two
1200 gallon ponds in one and a half days. Talk about sore
muscles. We had to 86 the stream that was planned but it turned
out pretty good anyway I think.

The next week was spent sealing off the waterfall to prevent
water loss and adding flower beds. There is also *desert* bed on
one end of what will soon be a flagstone walkway complete with a
dry creek bed and bridge. The two areas are tied together with
Mexican beach pebbles and the matching flagstones.
