8,000 Gallon Koi Pond
Last summer we finally made my wife's dream come true and
constructed our koi pond in our back yard. We absolutely love it
now. As you can see me wife's plantings are maturing nicely and
have given the area a rather tropical feeling.

The pond is approximately 40 feet long by 25 feet at its
widest point. Depth ranges between 2 1/2 and 5 feet and contains
an estimated 8,000 gallons. We are running a 3600 gph Mag-Drive
pump in a Savio skimmer, with 57 watt UV light. This pumps the
water through a home made 250 gallon "Skippy" biological filter
at the rear of our waterfall.

We thoroughly enjoy our pond and its relaxing nature. Our
fish are not anything special, but we love 'em all. Almost all
we raised from just "eyeballs" in an aquarium in our dining
room.
Sincerely,
Pat and Terri Thompson
