The patented Turbovortex
Solids Separator greatly reduces the solids going to your
pump and your filter. Your filter is designed to
remove solubles, not solids, from your pond water. The
Turbovortex solids separator is designed to work with sand,
sand type and conventional filters as well as bead filters,
which includes all Fluidart®
filters and filtration systems. It is installed on the
suction side of the pump - to capture debris before it gets
to the pump basket. With a small footprint, a large
capacity, and backwash capability, the Turbovortex is much
more convenient to install and maintain than large vortex
sediment tanks.
Installation of the Turbovortex is highly important.
It is always installed before the pump, which not only
increases the efficiency of your filter, but also decreases
wear on your pump. The Turbovortex inlet, located at
the bottom left of the accompanying photograph, needs to be
at or below pond level. Improper installation can
result in unsatisfactory performance.
