If
you live in area with lots of tree coverage, or if you have a tree
that loses its leaves during the fall - then you should consider
covering your pond with a pond net.
A pond net is easy to install, and
can be an effective way to keep your pond from filling up with leaves
that just have to be cleaned out in the Spring.
Just spread the pond net over the
pond surface, and weight it down with spare stones or bricks on each
edge, then pull it tight so that the net doesnt actually touch the
surface of the water.
his way, the leaves won't sit in
the pond water, where they can decay and become organic waste. If you
don't have many leaves near your pond however, you may want to just
net them out by hand so you don't have to bother with an unsightly
net.
