Thermo Plastic! This is a higher quality tank than the typical
BLOW molded plastic tank used on many other filters.
Your
Multiport valve was carefully chosen to give maximum flows for the
least energy dollars. The internals were carefully designed
with maximum flows in mind to give further energy savings, by
allowing you to use the most energy efficient pumps on the market.

assured, quality was the main consideration when your PondKeeper
filter was designed and assembled.
Now a word or two about the media...
The PondKeeper media was specially designed by GC Tek to
give tremendous surface area for bacteria to colonize and still stop
solids and to produce Gin Clear water. Being only slightly
heavier than water, the PondKeeper media barely sinks, thus
resulting in a media that is easily fluffed during backwash without
the need for special high flow pumps.
 
Upon backwash,
the media easily lets go of the trapped solids. The manner in
which the PondKeeper media stops solids is part of the magic of this
filter! Unlike sand filters that stop solids across the face
of the media pac, the PondKeeper media staggers the debris
throughout the pac, thus eliminating the aggravation of a filter
that quickly slows down after being backwashed. Weekly
backwashing us all that is needed to keep the PondKeeper in good
running order. The PondKeeper gives you an economical
filter that is built to the high standards that people expect from
GC Tek. The PondKeeper is the perfect filter for the Pond
Keeper.
